James R. Otteson is currently joint professor of philosophy and economics and co-chair of the Philosophy Department at Yeshiva University in New York. He is also a Senior Scholar at The Fund for American Studies in Washington, D.C., a Research Professor in the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom and in the Philosophy Department at the University of Arizona, an adjunct professor of economics at New York University, and a Research Fellow for the Independent Institute in California. Otteson is the author of Adam Smith’s Marketplace of Life among other works and is at work on a book length study about the end of socialism.
